This site has two purposes; to support the book "ColdFusion MX: From Static to Dynamic in 10 Steps" and to be a resource for anyone trying to learn ColdFusion.
ColdFusion MX is a fantastically powerful system for building dynamic, data driven websites and web based applications. While ColdFusion is easy to work with, it can be daunting at first for those coming from a traditional HTML and / or Dreamweaver background.
That's where my book and this site come in. This site is designed to arm you with everything need to get started building web applications with ColdFusion. So Lets get into it.

Getting started
What will you need? Well first you will need to download a copy of ColdFusion MX Server - Developer Edition. This is the 'free' version of their server product that you can install on your own machine to play with and do development.
